چکیده

It is often said that constipation aggravates acne/pimples, although no scientific basis exists to support this theory. Recent findings highlight the gut-skin axis, bidirectional relationship between gut condition and skin health. For example, inflammatory bowel diseases are associated with such as erythema nodosum. However, correlation acne severity in healthy subjects under-appreciated poorly understood. Here, we developed a novel experimental mouse model of vulgaris worsened by constipation. First, was induced oral gavage loperamide six- seven-week-old female C57BL/6 mice. The evaluated frequency stools fecal water content, which decreased significantly loperamide-induced group than vehicle (p<0.05). After induction constipation, lesion topically applying ethyl palmitate ears. constipation-induced mice exhibited increased ear thickness compared those treated (P<0.001). Histopathological evaluation showed hyperkeratosis, comedo formation, cell infiltration Constipation-induced higher gene expression levels antimicrobial peptides S100a8 S100a9 keratinization markers Krt16 lesional (P<0.01). In addition, Cxcl2 Il1b were elevated vehicle-treated (P<0.05). Additionally, Rorc-/- resistance aggravation due suggesting essential role IL-17 cytokine axis. Taken together, our supports common knowledge useful enabling further investigation

Over 70 years have passed since dermatologists John H. Stokes and Donald M. Acne is so common as to ...
